Temp Chronicles: where didja
You look so nice! Do you have an interview today? Where didja have your interview? What is name of the company? Where is it located? What did u apply?
This one coworker asked me, all the questions above. I was scant with my answers. This coworker is killer of trying to piggyback on your job hunt. Others and I had arranged for job interviews. This coworker actually looked over another coworker shoulder to read her email. The email was pertaining to a future job interview. The coworker called and emailed this recruiter. We were like dayum.
I shook my head.. This is ridiculous.
Now, I try to do all my job hunting at home.

Didja try
I had an interview today. it was actually professional. I felt confident. The job is nice. 100% medical paid.. Yeah, You know I’m feeling it!
Ya’ll know, I have a big BUT.. coming right!
The hiring mgr asked Didja try to find a job before you were laid off?
Nah fool, I thought a job would “magically delicious” pop into my life.
I explained. My organization told us that our grant was secure. I had a friend in a similar organization. They told her in December. We might have jobs in 08-09. In March her job told her definitely. There were closing shop in June 08. My organization kept saying nah! We are fine! A newspaper article featured our organization, in March 08. It read and smell like death. My supervisor sd the reporter took thing out of context. I started to apply for jobs harder. No haps! On May 24 08, We were gather for the lay off blues.
I swear I’m going to have a Samuel L Jackson moment on an interviewer!
At least, I’m not fazed by the stupid questions. No more! I dont hear DMX Party up in my head.
*smh*
Tomorrow I wait to hear about a possible 3rd interview.

Resume
I have an interview tomorrow! Yahooooooooooooo!
I filled out the online application over the weekend!.. The HR representative said I’m going to send you an application to your email.
Huh?
I asked. Am I printing off the online application that I’ve already submitted to your company?
Oh no she replied. You’ll have to fill out the application and bring it with you.
Now.. Mind you that I’ve already emailed a resume, too! Actually, they have my email in their HR database.
Will you bring your resume to the interview tomorrow too?
Why must I do everything in triplicate?
Are we not in a ‘paperless’ society?

Obama is not
American enough. He is not patriotic enough..
I am far from being politico. I am amateur historian tho’. I love to watch film documentaries and foreign films with subtitles.
I saw a news clip of Senator Mel Martinez implying Obama policies were similar to communism.

I was watching Public Enemies:The Golden Age of the Gangster Film. In the film, It states immigrants such as the Scottish and Irish . They were not considered White or Caucasian. Whites saw them as dirty. After WW2, they were considered as White. If you ask someone of this decent today, they will tell you in heart beat.. I’m Scottish or Irish. All day! Everyday! They’ll break down to the percentages (of races in them) and arrival at Plymouth Rock or Ellis Island. LOL!

Why are our judgements beliittle to race? Didn’t Colin Powell have top appointments under Republicans and Democrats for a long standing? So, He pretty much is intelligent!

I had to giggle at a quote from (St Pete Times 10/19/08) a retiree in Sun City, Florida. The lady said John McCain is too old in the article.
McCain and Crew .. Please with stewed prunes with a Fiberone chaser.. stop linking Obama to terrorist. How idiotic can one be?

When will folks who believe Ronald Regan and McCain are the right way of life. When will they stop being scared of color? My hue does not indicate that I am lacking intelligence. My hue is in not indicative that I am not American.
Nor does Barack Obama name, heritage, associates/friends or hue makes him less of American.
But McCain has aligned himself with W and crooks.

Jane Doe the Immigrant
I was reading the New York Times. I came across this article. Honestly, This article has me scatter in thought. I have questions that they can not be answer by anyone. One question, What are they going to do? She cant stay in limbo. I’m not mad at her Adult child for leaving her mom. But, It had to be an awful decision. Like the Lt. in the article, I would search all over heaven and hell for my folks.
