*singing* It’s hard out here for a smoker!

I am not a smoker. Thank goodness! I do not like the habit. I gave it a try in my early 20’s. I did not like washing my hair every nite.

I received a response to a job application online. The employer gave seven requirements. Guess what the first was on his job requirements. No smoking! The requirements were even listed in his original job advertisement.  So, he could have a qualified candidate who meet the other six requirements. But, if they smoke, you are a no go!

Recently, I read article about this lady who lost her job because she was a smokerThe employee lost her lawsuit against her former employer.  She even had to pay back $3k in unemployment.  Besides your health, Is smoking worth it?

I started to think.. What is next?  An employee can not be fat or have acne on their face.  Personally, I do not like smoking or smelling smoke on folks.. I do not advocate the habit. Something seems wrong tho’ with a job specifying .. No Smokers!
