free clinics such as Medical or Dental.. *sighing* This recession really needs to mend quickly. We have folks using free clinics for their ills. They dont get it!!! This is not private doctor or dentist. You have to wait on line! If you get in, you get in! If you dont you dont.. come back tomorrow and wait on line again. I had to goto the dental clinic last week.
Whew! I showed up @ 6am. The dental clinic had to take patients from the following day. it opens at 7:30am. This particular dental clinic only takes 7 patients a day. Well, I was 1st. But I let some lady go in front of me. This ”OctoMom” looking chick protested my line position. I said a couple of choice words.
OctoMom mumbled. I gave her my signature look and went back to studying..
(I’ve been saying my prayer.. if my tongue cant be civil let it be silent)
But, She shut up!

OctoMom is bothering the receptionist and other dental clinic staff. They annoyed by her and other potential patients who dont get it. I overheard the receptionist tell her that she could goto a private dentist. OctoMom looked at her like.. Are you talking to me!
“SAT DOWN!!”" Wait to be call this is not the normal Paid Private Dental office .. There are no initial appointments. They are trying their best. This is the clinic.
*smh*
Well, OctoMom left the dental clinic.
I was last patient to be seen by the dds. She was lively lady. (insert saracasm). I have to go back for another appt.
Folks are entering the world of poor and dont seem to understand .. You do wait.. There is no entitlement. Your status dont mean shit! We all are in pain and suffering. Your suffering is no bigger than mine! Be polite and patient.. Things will work out.
When those like OctoMom types are face with the world of clinics.. They are shocked by the system. They protest that They should go first! Because They are ’so and so’ .. use to be ’so and so’..

July 1, 2008, I was laid off. Here it is July 2009. It’s been a yr. What has changed? Financially challenged?Yes? Still Smart and Beautiful? Yes oh and Hell Yes? (Fatter too!!) lol
I work a part time job. I’m in the process of going to LPN school. I let God drive.. I’m just riding “shot gun” with him. I’m thankful! I’ve had some tears, screams and laughs in this yr.
Things have really changed in this economy. I’m really curious. What will be the outcome of this “mass destruction” called the recession.
But I keep striving for the top! *singing* While your moma say .. give it all you got.. aint no half stepping!!!

LPN school!!
Yes!!!
I am entering LPN school in March 2010. I was screaming with my post card in hand.. I am so happy. I’m still on another school wait list for Oct 2009. Now, I need to take the TABE test. WIA requires the TABE to pay for school. .. YESSSSSS!!!!

Teas
The TEAS test was added to my school admission criteria. At this a bunch of boolshish, I was so pissed in orientation. It gave us 3 to 4 weeks to study the information.
I took the test this week. I realise that I should never let a test hinder me. I was so fearful of taking it. The test was not easy or hard. I wish I would have bought study guide, tho.
I should know the results of it by next friday. I should know my placement in school by July 1st. I feel positive about it. I ask God to lead me on the right path .. I feel I’m on it. I need to learn patience.

one year
It has been one year of my surgery. It’s been a rough year. I’ve had a setback. My ankle or foot has some serious tenderness to it. When I walk, I feel pain. I had a massage the other day. I think, she spent 30 minutes on my right leg, foot and ankle combo.
I’m still trying to get a couple of days of walking into my schedule. Hopefully by the 2nd yr, I’m doing better.

I remember that I was volunteering in Winter 08. I told this lady about my laid off status. She said well you need to be prepare to lose an apartment, lose a car or lose… (fill in blank).. I raised my eyebrow and said “hmm”
I lost my internet access at home. lol
I’m holding onto the other things tho’.
Currently, I am working as a part time temp collector. I’m not hard core as some. I’m in no position to “ack” a fool with anyone. I know, I have my own issues with my bills. I let the customer x,y,x and go thru the script. Yea or nay, they can the bill with me. As of yet, no one has cussed me out. Maybe, they have hung up on me. But it’s no big deal to me!
Currently, I’m trying to find another part time or full time job. Funny, how they are plenty of part time jobs. These companies want to pay low pay and expect full time part time.

Phone vs internet
Florida unemployment claims.. When you are doing a new or submitting your claim. It is best to do it over the phone. Have your dates, wages and what not ready.. How do I know? I had to redo a claim. I did it per internet. I called back the next day and was told .. It has to cycle through the system. I was so angry and tired about UC. I sd Oh and hung up.
I called today and asked What’s the time frame for cycle? She sd one week to 2 weeks.
Huh?
But the phone claims processing takes 24 hrs to 72hrs. Why? as you speak your information in the voicemail. You speak to a live agent at the end of the call.
Huh?
Wouldn’t the internet be faster than phone system? No, the phone has a live agent to verify and push the button. I guess, I said. As, I shook my head in disgrace.
Most of the AWI-UC workers are nice. They emphasize with your situation. So please be respectful to them. They did not create this mess!
I pray this economy turns around soon. This is so crazy.
